Traxee Tip :: Warming Up Before A Race

Traxee Tip :: Warming Up Before A Race by bmoore

Most coaches agree, warming up before a race is critical to getting your muscles prepared for the effort ahead, but what's the best way to warm up?

Ten minutes of running at a relatively easy pace should do it. If the start time is fast approaching, run 7 minutes at a normal easy jog, then the final 3 minutes at a half marathon pace. Try to do this 5 minutes before start to give yourself enough time to get positioned in your pace group and you'll be ready to rock!
