Hot, hot, hot

Oh my goodness!  I went out to run my intervals (started week 3) at noon yesterday and it started out fine but it didn't take long for the heat and humidity to take it's toll.  I won't do that again.  Thinking of registering for some 5k's in the fall......I have fear of failure.  I don't want to be the last one over the finish line.

Traxee user bmoore Ok everybody - we vow to set the alarm earlier or whatever it takes to get out there before the temps exceed 80 degrees! ;-) I'm recuperating quickly from a stomach virus and will be out there tomorrow am come hell or high temps!

Traxee user LaurieB 5k's in the fall sound wonderful, but now in the Southern California heat I too am struggling to keep moving. You would not be the last one to cross the finish line, and if you were, you are a winner because You had the courage to start!

Traxee user heatre24 You can do it, hockeymom! Especially if you've already started an interval program. You'll be amazed and how far you will go by the time races come around in the fall. Races are awesome because no matter how fast you go, you then have something to strive for and beat next time! And I agree, there's NO way you'd be last. Lots of people sign up for 5Ks just for fun and plenty of people don't even train. :) Do it, you won't regret it!

Traxee user bmoore You should do it! There is NO WAY you'll be last. All races have plenty of walkers and buggy pushers - you'll see. The experience of a race is something you don't want to miss.
