The Original Tweet

Incredible morning this morning here in Southern California. If you've been following the weather forecast you know that we have been having some typical October weather out here - eighties, breezy and beautiful. Leaves are turning and falling (as much as they do in Southern California) and the sky is bluer than blue.

This morning as I was running I noticed the calls of some incredible birds - calls that I don't usually hear. Perhaps some winter residents from colder climes? I was so glad I had decided against the iPod this morning. And I admit I had to laugh. With everyone on Twitter sound biting at 140 characters 24/7, I connected with the fact that it's definitely worth it to get out from behind the keyboard every once in a while and listen to the original tweets. You know. From the birds. Try it some time.
