You See The Strangest Things While Running...

I am constantly kicking myself on my long runs for not packing my digital camera. Sometimes you see the most amazing and unusual things, you know?  

One of my neighbors has taken to using his lawn as a way to make various political statements. This morning while passing by his house I saw his new display and I had to go back and take a picture so I could show you this thing.

It's a parade of little plastic dinosaurs interspersed with plastic happy faces and it runs the entire length of his front lawn.

OK - I think he's saying that our society is moving towards extinction like the dinosaurs, but we're so preoccupied about our "feel good" fantasies about how "things are starting to pick up" that we don't even notice that our way of life is unsustainable.

I kept wishing he would come outside so I could ask him about his meaning.  I even re-routed myself back by his house to see if anyone was stirring over there, but to no avail. Maybe I can catch him later in the week.
