OK, so I just don't get it.
Here over the last several weeks I have been plodding along, forcing myself to run with a lot of knee discomfort and very little enthusiasm. I mean, my ITB has really been giving me problems and that has slowed my pace down significantly. I even had to walk part way one day last week on a short, 3.5 mile run. Then, inexplicably it all changed and I'm back (practically) to my old self again. But what can be causing these rather severe performance fluctuations? I just don't get it!
Has this happened to anyone else? Sometimes it's a course difference of up to 1:30"! That's pretty significant! And why would my knee pain be so intermittent?
AUAUAGH! It's driving me crazy? Is it possible that it's related to my stress levels?
