Pretty sure I suffered a post race slump, perhaps even more like crater complete with walls too high to even conceive climbing and the painful jabs with each attempt. It is not often you just find me lying around when I could be over-exerting myself or crashing out at 7:30pm, and yet the entire last week consisted of just that. The only run I have gotten in since the race was an early morning 6.4 miles of which the last mile brought me to a walk with searing pain in my left knee (the good knee!! Aacck.). I had felt this begin on race day, but did not figure on it showing back up. It looks like I will need to make knee stretches a priority, in fact, I was informed over the weekend that women runners are more likely to suffer knee injuries than their male counterparts. Hhhhmmm, I’ll have to look into that.
So, with a few new challenges I am really starting my 18-week training, tomorrow, on week 17. C’est La Vie
