Wrap It Up – Women’s Running Headwear

Wrap It Up – Women’s Running Headwear by Betty

There is this sharp aching sensation that befalls my ears as soon as the leaves turn. If I dare move faster than a brisk mall-walk, there it is begging for a snuggy from…something, anything…the pain is just too much to bare. Such discomfort has sent me shopping for headgear, not the sort associated with dental work, but that which is fuzzy and warm, the cradling sort.

Because I have a thing with hats, socks, and shoes bugging the crap out of me below are a few that I find to be functionally superior.

Top 2 Faves:

Asics Winter Run Cap – For its basic sculpted form and perfect functionality. It stays on!  Great for women's running!

Manzella Windstopper Headband (or any fleece band) – for the fact that heat is able to escape from the top but it keeps the ears snug and its adjustable!

Other Top Rated Forms:

Smartwool Lined Tassel Hat – For its cuteness?

Asics Run Hybrid Hat – I get it, but I feel like it slips around too much (for me)

Manzella Microfleece Stretch Racer Hat – Lightweight, simple

Nike Therma-fit Skully – stretchy, fleecey, therma-fitted ☺

Traxee user bmoore I LOVE my fleece headband! It's actually made for skiers I think, but I've had this thing for years. I have trouble with ear aches too, so at the first sign on any cold or wind, on it goes. I have to have the top of my head open to the air - unless it's really cold - for heat escape so the headband is just the ticket!
