WoW. Am I just really super lazy or are the mapping applications a pain?! I thought Map My Run was a day long tutoring session, but TrailRunner surpasses it in layers by days!
For those of you who do not know, TrailRunner is a route planning software for long distance sports such as running, hiking, biking, inline-skating, and the likes. TrailRunner can be downloaded to a number of devices, say for one, the iPod, where it will calculate a route for your desired distance and export directions to you. Route directions is one of this apps many tools.
My concern is, that you better be ready to dedicate hours into familiarizing yourself with just how it works…all its ins and outs…and quirks. I believe it is in BETA, so there is plenty of room for improvement and an aim to do so. In fact you can donate to the lifeline of TrailRunner via Berbie Software.
Sounds cool if you are serious about tracking every alley turn off of your route or if you are unsure of going a different way. Help here. I have been through the tutorials, read every page and honestly, I don’t think it is for me. Have any of you used this application before? Have any thoughts?
