OK – I thought I was the ONLY runner on the planet who listened to meditation music while running. Turns out, I’ve got quite a bit of company, and now you can download tracks specifically designed to help you enter a space of serenity and mindfulness by the time you hit mile 5.
I found this cool company called MP3 Running, which was founded by avid runners Andy Treichler and LA based Christian Neeser, (also a professional musician, experienced Yoga practitioner and mediator) to help implement the vision of specialized meditative music programs for runners.
MP3 Running has created a series of musical tracks that accompany the running experience to improve well being on all levels - Body, Mind and Spirit.
Tracks are available in sessions of 30, 45 or 60 minutes that can be downloaded directly to an iPod or other MP3 player from the company's website, www.MP3running.com.
