Nike+ Human Race

Nike+ Human Race by Betty

Wow. Nike+ Human Race (August 31st) sounds like a rad concept, but I cannot seem to find out if there is a run in LA? Does anyone know if Los Angeles is one of the 25 race cities? It seems as though, for the U.S., that New York is the only city being advertised???

Of course, you can just run a random 10k using your Nike+ and sync your run by the end of the day…ok, not sure how much fun that would be, but each mile you run with your Nike+ helps decide how much is donated to linked charities. In addition, Nike is offering a system, powered by Global Giving, to supply you with a way to make pledges and get donors while they keep track!

The three charities linked with the 2008 Nike+ Human Race are:

The Lance Armstrong Foundation

The UN Refugee Agency

The WWF

Traxee user bmoore Yeah, LA is a run city, but the event is closed. I think you had to go on the Nike website to register to be notified of what was going on with the race. I got an email yesterday saying the race was full.
