Most women runners tend to be pretty conscious about our weight. A lot of us started running as part of an overall weight loss program, but once you start doing >20 miles/week on a regular basis you can pretty much eat what you want (with discretion) and not worry about gaining. I know I am always making jokes about having to run an extra mile if I'm going to eat that cookie/brownie/birthday cake/bagel.
But have you ever wondered how long you really would have to run to burn off that indiscretion?
Recently, I found this great calculator that estimates how long you have to do a variety of exercises in order to burn off particular foods. It's really fun! Check it out. Now if only I could download this app into my iPod for those "indiscretions on-the-go!"
