Somehow I made it out the door this morning without my running sunglasses. Not more than a few minutes into my run I was squinting hard and was quite uncomfortable.
It’s just as important to protect your eyes as it is to protect your skin when running outside, and these days there are several light and comfortable (and VERY cool) sunglasses made in smaller sizes for women's running.
Here’s a couple of suggestions;
Oakley
Enduring
So freaking cool – you’ve probably seen the Lolo Jones ads that feature these beauties. Polarized, with UV protection, you can get Enduring sunglasses in different lens colors. Interchangeable nose pads ensure a perfect fit. Available for prescription lenses too. About $155.00 at Oakley.com
Bolle
MicroEdge
Awesome wrap-around design with polycarbonate lenses and a flexible frame that resists crushing and returns to shape when bent, UVA/UVB protection and available in a number of different lens options. $120 at Bolle.com.
Smith Optics
Slider
Each pair of Sliders comes with 3 sets of lenses for specific light conditions, depending on your frame color choice. Polarized, featuring glare reduction, which filters out reflective glare . Cool wrap-around style. About $138.00 at Smith Optics.com.
