Foot Pain

I have noticed the fron part of my foot (where the foot bends away/toward the leg) hurts when running. Is this due to my shoes, my form? I seem to be able to alleviate it a bit by running more on my toes, but that is difficult to do for very long. HELP?!

Traxee user avidrunner I think it has got a lot to do with your shoes. I had a very similar issue which got sorted after I changed my shoes

Traxee user Sarah OOh, I have experienced this...before I invested in a decent pair of shoes! Also, like BMoore said...going uphill in regular shoes could be the cause. Take care...and work it out!

Traxee user Betty Yes, sounds like some cushier socks would be appropriate and like Beth says, perhaps the shoe is causing the problem. Best Wishes. Let us know what you find out.

Traxee user bmoore Of course, I am not an exercise physiologist, but I can tell you theat I have occasionally had this problem. I have found that it reoccurs more when I have worn high-heeled shoes. My remedy? More cushioning in my socks (#1), and (#2) try switching to my Nikes, which have more cushioning in the forefoot. Have you been doing any trail running? Have you been running trails in regular running shoes? This could also be the cause of your discomfort.
