I was totally off the road for an entire week when I got a really bad sinus infection. I think that's the longest break from running I have taken in over two years. What really surpirses me is how incredibly sore I am after running twice. I did a 5.5 miler on Sunday morning and close to 4 miles on Tuesday and my calves are so sore...even though I stretched pretty well before running. It's kind of discouraging, but it gives me a huge amount of respect for runners coming back to train after a really serious illness...or even surgery! And what about those women who run after (or even through) cancer treatment! Ha ha - after a week, my husband was begging me to go for I run! I turn into such a witch without my endorphin fix!
