Map My Run (powered by Google) has to be the coolest thing ever, not to mention you can view it in Google Earth! Having stumbled upon this jewel of a tool, when searching for info on running routes in my area, I had to delve into all its facets. Now, searching particular cities for not only running, but biking, skating, dog walking, and swimming was incredibly easy and returned a plethora of route suggestions equipped with pit stop, first aid, and fitness spot indicators. However, building one for the fist time proved a bit awkward, but I am willing to go out on a limb (seeing as how my search turned up so many great routes) and say that the seasoned ‘Map MY Run’ user creates and shares routes with ease.
In addition to the route maps , Map My Run maintains a community of like-minded outdoorsy folk as well as races and events. Are you a Map MY Run member and how much do you love it or begrudge its technologically advanced directive?
