Sicko!

The universe really has a way of biting back.  Winter after winter for years I have bragged to my friends about how "I never get sick."  And for years it's been true.  But this year it's been one thing after another.  No, I haven't sucumbed to the flu, but every other form of malady has struck me, one after the other.  Right now, I have a raging strep throat that's keeping me off the road  and out of training and it's DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!  They say that you can run as long as you don't have a fever, but for me, when I feel like this, I just want to be in bed.

What do you guys think?  Is it a good or bad idea to exercise when you're sick?

Traxee user bmoore Yeah! You know you are really a runner when you consider getting sick a deprivation and not an excuse!

Traxee user Roadrunner I would stay in bed...but I'm always looking for an excuse. I'm a beginner so maybe when I get "addicted" to running I'll feel differently. How long does that take?
