I am ready to purchase a new pair of running shoes and I keep hearing about stores that do all kinds of cool stuff to find you the perfect shoe!  Do you names of these type stores and any that are local?  I am in the San Fernando Valley, CA and I get so confused when walking into these giant show stores!! HELP??!!

Roadrunner sports is awesome, but I know that Phidippides is really popular too. In addition, both have a great selection of running gear for women. A good running store is going to check your gait, your tendency to pronate, etc. Look for a guarantee too - they should let you return your shoes if they don't work for you.
