The ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter is looking for participants to run as a charity partner in the 36th Annual Marine Corps Marathon to be held October 30, 2011. ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a fatal, neuromuscular disease that kills someone every 90 minutes.
The Marine Corps Marathon is a great opportunity for run your first marathon or your fiftieth because there is no qualifying time requirement.
There is no fundraising requirement for the ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter, however, we do not pay for transportation or hotel for our runners because we prefer to use all of the monies received by the Chapter for our families and ALS specific research.
If you or someone you know would be interested in running in the Marathon this year please contact me at ARobinson@ALSinfo.org or 301-978-9855 ext. 207 and I will be more than happy to send you a registration form. We only have 25 spots so hurry and get yours!
Thank you!
